I build technology for the human, embodied things most software gives up on. Right now that's hospital food, as cofounder and CTO of Banquet Health. I also dance Bharatnatyam, sing Carnatic, and write fiction.
People split the world into corners, tech or art, AI or human. I don't buy it. The intersection is where it gets interesting, and where you find out what it means to be human.
Lately I'm thinking about:
- why I still can't sit still, ten years into teaching meditation
- learning Bharatnatyam and Carnatic singing as an adult, and how much a hand mudra or the slide between two notes can say
- a fantasy novel I've been drafting forever, about magic written on skin and two people who can only cast through each other
- what AI gets dangerously wrong about food and allergies, and how you guard against it
- the couple hundred books I read a year
